West Sound & Kitsap · Fall 2026 Pilot Season
The West Sound Select League is organized, competitive scrimmages for area select baseball teams — one game a week, aiming to start in September, with the fields, umpires, and logistics already handled.
A pilot season. You play, you give feedback, and together we decide whether a Winter or Spring run makes sense.
The idea
As a select organization, you're always after more reps. The most important part of a player's development is getting through real game scenarios — and the most important part of coaching is seeing how your athletes work together when those scenarios come up. The natural answer is simple: a scrimmage.
Putting together competitive scrimmages on this side of the water is a grind — chasing opponents, fields, umpires, and mounds one game at a time.
A standing group of West Sound & Kitsap teams with central coordination, so a regular scrimmage is a calendar item, not a project.
We run the fall, gather your feedback, and decide together whether a Winter and/or Spring iteration is worth doing.
“Select League” is the banner — the product is organized, recurring, competitive scrimmages built around development, not standings.
Committed teams
Field time is still being secured — these teams have signaled intent to play this fall.
The neighborhood
The West Sound and Kitsap area is rich with select baseball. Here are area teams that show what's possible within a short drive — plus the fields we'd play on.
A mix of turf and grass fields we're working to secure — nothing is locked in yet.
To be clear: these are simply area teams that highlight the richness of baseball in our region. No conversations have taken place yet, and listing a team here doesn't imply they've committed — or even been asked.
How it runs
Aiming to start in September — a dependable drumbeat of competition through the fall.
Brackets will depend on interest — many area teams field 8u through 18u.
Primarily weeknight games under the lights, with the occasional weekend if needed.

Straight numbers
No mystery fees. Here's exactly what a game costs and where it goes.
| Line item | Per team / game |
|---|---|
| Fields (with lights) | $52.00 |
| Umpire | $50.00 |
| Equipment (balls, mound, first aid) | $50.00 |
| Insurance | $2.50 |
| Operations (scheduling, coordination, logistics) | $50.00 |
| Total per team, per game | $204.50 |
That's just under what teams typically pay, per game, for a single 3-game-guarantee weekend — except here it's a full ten-game fall.
These figures are an estimate based on preliminary numbers — but we anticipate the final cost will be quite close.
